Barbour's earliest priorities in developing the ecommerce side was to implement segmentation and really personalize emails to individual customers in order to build personal relationships. Using dotmailer's automation tools they created welcome packs with a preference center for new subscribers as well as developing re-engagement programs that choose recipients based on recent engagement and frequency of contact.
