Senior Sales Consultant

Job Summary

Taking responsibility for sales growth at the high-end of our potential client base, your role will be to build relationships at a senior level with those organisations likely to spend a substantial amount on email marketing, content management, or web design and development on an ongoing basis. This will involve both identifying new opportunities and taking on leads generated by the sales team, from adverts, trade fairs etc.

Whether making face-to-face presentations, producing written proposals or negotiating on the phone, you'll ensure that dotMailer continues to get quality new clients, providing repeat business on a long-term basis.

We also provide a white labelled "business in a box" solution to enable other businesses to provide email marketing solutions to their clients. Part of your remit will be to expand this area of our business.
 

Duties will include:

• Research and targeting client leads.
• Presenting proposals and demonstrating dotMailer®'s capabilities to senior executive level buyers.
• Identifying opportunities and developing them into long-term business relationships.
• Developing a solid revenue pipeline that meets or exceeds targets.
• Building and maintaining strategic relationships that result in high levels of customer referrals.

The person

To be considered for this role, you'll need over three years consultative sales experience in a directly relevant field. That doesn't have to be email marketing - we're happy to consider people from other areas such as traditional direct marketing, internet advertising or web development agencies if they can demonstrate a sound knowledge of the principles of our business.

You'll be a proven closer with clearly excellent presentation, oral and written skills; a team player with the drive to take business forward to new levels.  It is likely you will have a BSc/BA in a discipline that demonstrates technical or business aptitude. Formal sales training would be an advantage.
